Mayach & Co. is chambered in New Delhi. Matters before the Delhi High Court and its subordinate district courts are handled directly, without correspondent counsel.
The Delhi High Court was established on 31 October 1966 under the Delhi High Court Act, 1966, carved out of the erstwhile Punjab High Court's jurisdiction over the territory. It is one of a small number of High Courts in India that hold original civil jurisdiction — meaning certain civil suits, including intellectual property matters, can be filed directly before the High Court rather than starting in a district court, subject to a pecuniary threshold. The other High Courts with this original jurisdiction are Bombay, Madras, Calcutta, and Himachal Pradesh.
Below the High Court sit seven district court complexes serving the National Capital Territory, including Tis Hazari, Patiala House, Karkardooma, Saket, Rohini, Dwarka, and Shahdara — each covering defined geographic districts of Delhi.
Delhi is where Mayach & Co. is chambered. Matters before the Delhi High Court, its Commercial Division, or any of the seven district court complexes are handled directly by Himanshu Soni, without the correspondent counsel arrangement used for matters outside Delhi. See Matters Outside Delhi for how out-of-state matters are coordinated.
